Brief

The idea grows from the belief that “threads carry memory.” The book uses textiles as metaphors for identity, heritage, and human connection. Each chapter unravels a different story through photography, research, and delicate line-art illustrations.

My Contribution

I worked as the illustrator and contributed to shaping the core concept - especially how the narrative could be echoed through line-art storytelling. I helped define how motifs processes could be translated into minimal, expressive illustrations woven naturally into the editorial flow. This project was done under the mentorship of Gargi Sankpal while I was working at HAT Media, giving me the space to explore visual language, refine my detailing, and understand brand-aligned storytelling.

Challenges & Experience

The challenge was finding the balance between luxury minimalism and cultural richness — creating illustrations that felt modern yet rooted. The experience sharpened my sensitivity toward narrative design and made me fall deeper in love with illustration as a storytelling tool.
